Why this page exists
The cellar is the heart of this house: private imports, pairings composed as the meal unfolds, rare spirits at the bar. And Montreal is an hour’s drive away.
Those two sentences don’t go together. So here is the list — honest, verified, no commission, no arrangement — of places to sleep when you come to dinner. We have no interest in any of these businesses and we earn nothing if you book them. We name them because they exist and they are there.
All distances are measured from 13, rue Court.
Where we would sleep
The question was put to the chef in those words: where would you sleep? He named two houses. Neither is in Granby, and neither is within walking distance — the next section deals with that.
We take nothing if you book with them, no more than anywhere else on this page. That is exactly what lets us say which two they are.
Auberge Nuits St-Georges · Bromont
An 1881 building in the heart of old Bromont. Nine suites, each with its own bathroom and fireplace. A relaxation pavilion, a garden with a Finnish sauna and hot tub, a massage room, and Mont Brome in view. Organic breakfast included.
There is no restaurant on site, and we write that down so nobody calls expecting dinner. The village bistros are a walk away — and you are eating with us anyway.

Manoir Hovey · North Hatley
Relais & Châteaux, two MICHELIN Keys, open since 1899, on Lake Massawippi. Two rooms — Restaurant Le Hatley and Bistro Le Tap Room — under the same chef, Alexandre Vachon.
It is also where Brian Proulx worked as maître d’hôtel and sommelier before opening his own. It is where you learn what hosting means.
An hour’s drive is a destination, not somewhere to sleep after dinner. We may as well say it: the finest room on this page is also the furthest. If that is where you sleep, make it the centre of the trip rather than the end of the evening.

Getting a ride back
Nothing that rents by the night is within walking distance of 13, rue Court. That is a fact about the town rather than an omission on this page — and it has a simple fix: don’t drive.
Taxis run in Granby and Uber operates here. Taxi 3000 is the one we call. Bromont, 14 km out, becomes a fare rather than a calculation.
We won’t quote a wait time or a price: it depends on the night. Settle your ride home before you order the second bottle, and the question goes away.

What the town has, minutes from the house. These addresses are here because they exist and because a full Saturday happens. Described for what they are, without ranking or praise.
Une Fleur au bord de l’eau
A five-room bed and breakfast on the shore of Lac Boivin, facing L’Estriade cycling path, rated four suns out of five under Québec’s official B&B classification. Breakfast served, bike shed, outdoor pool. Certified Bienvenue cyclistes! — if you’re riding the next day, this is the one.
A guesthouse run by people, not a chain: five rooms, two of them with a shared bathroom. Call early, and ask which one you’re getting.

Le Saint-Christophe, Hôtel-Boutique & Spa
A boutique hotel above Lac Boivin, set back from downtown without being far from it. Outdoor baths, and its own bistro, Le Picollo. This is the choice for two nights, when you want a hot bath the next morning — or the reverse: an afternoon at the spa, then the fire at night.

Hôtel Castel & Centre des congrès de Granby
Granby’s large hotel: 136 units, outdoor pool, bar, relaxation centre, free parking. It isn’t a charming address, it’s a dependable one — the one that still has a room on a Friday in July when everything else is full, and the one that absorbs a group.

Holiday Inn Express & Candlewood Suites
North end of town, near the highway. EV chargers, fitness room, pets welcome. No surprises, in the good sense: you know exactly what you’re getting. They are two separate hotels at the same address — call the one you mean.

Next door · La Closerie des Lilas
A fully renovated century house on our own street, three doors down. Two complete, soundproofed tourist residences on the ground floor, apartments above. A member of Québec’s tourism industry corporation, establishment number 316741.
They rent by the week or the month, not by the night. So it isn’t the answer to a Saturday evening. It is the answer to a week in Granby, thirty metres from the table.

If you stretch it into a weekend
These two are destinations, not somewhere to sleep after dinner. They earn their place if you’re staying two or three nights and Wednesday’s table is one chapter of the trip.
Domaine Château-Bromont
At the foot of Bromont, montagne d’expériences. A 166-room resort hotel with a spa, at the gates of the ski hill in winter and of the mountain-bike network from May to October. The logical base for an active Townships weekend.

Espace Old Mill · La Cecil House
In Stanbridge East, on the Route des vins. A mid-nineteenth-century mill turned market farm, restaurant, shop and inn. The kitchen garden was designed by Jean-Martin Fortier; the restaurant holds a MICHELIN Green Star — the Guide’s sustainability distinction, which is not a star — renewed for a second consecutive year. The rooms sit above the dining room.
We’ll say it plainly: it is one of the finest houses in the region, and a remarkable table. If you’re building a weekend around two dinners, theirs and ours answer each other well — the farm on one side, the fire on the other.

What we can’t do for you
We don’t book your room. We have no package, no arrangement, no room upstairs: Maison Boire is a restaurant, not an inn.

Two pieces of advice that cost nothing:
- Book the table before the room. We open four nights a week, Wednesday through Saturday. Rooms can almost always be found.
- Wednesday and Thursday are easier, at table and at the hotel, and the room is quieter. If your dates are flexible, look there first.
